DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Almere, Netherlands, with 2 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain a modern AWS-based cloud platform.
• Create and manage Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK using Python.
• Build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines with AWS-native and Git-based tools.
• Develop self-service tools, platform automation, and observability through monitoring, logging, and tracing with CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, strengthen platform security and compliance, and optimize AWS spending.
• Own platform reliability and performance while supporting the migration from on-premises infrastructure to AWS and collaborating with development and product teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS as the main cloud platform.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, working with Linux systems, and operating containerized environments such as ECS Fargate.
• Knowledge of observability tools, cloud security principles including IAM and Zero Trust, and compliance automation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS cost optimization or internal developer platforms.
