Senior Signal and Power Integrity Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; hybrid work schedule with on-site reporting to a Hardware Engineering Manager.

Salary: $196,000–$242,000 USD per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus, equity incentive plan, and company benefits.

What you will do

• Own signal integrity and power integrity across project planning, product development, and subsystem sign-off.
• Establish SIPI guidelines and PCB stack-up specifications through feasibility studies.
• Audit layout routing and component placement to optimize interface performance.
• Simulate PCB, connector, and cabling designs using electromagnetic and circuit-level tools.
• Measure hardware performance and correlate laboratory results with simulation models.
• Research advanced SI/PI technologies to improve simulation efficiency, consistency, and precision.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with system-level SIPI design, modeling, and optimization using tools such as HFSS, SIwave, PowerSI, ADS, or HSPICE.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, VNAs, and TDR equipment.
• Experience correlating simulations with measurements and debugging SI/PI issues in laboratory environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across internal and external teams.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 1+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with SERDES, SoC power integrity with VR modeling, or LPDDRx interfaces.
• Python or Tcl scripting for SI/PI workflow automation.
• Experience with automotive interfaces such as xGBase-T1, CAN/CAN-FD, LVDS, or GMSL.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and DoE simulation for high-volume production designs.
