Software Engineer, UI/UX (AI)

Location: Dunkirk, New York, United States; onsite office work required

Annual base pay: $130,500–$145,000, plus discretionary bonus and equity award.

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and implement interfaces for AI-driven web and mobile applications.
• Translate product goals and complex workflows into intuitive, scalable user experiences.
• Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams on API and data-pipeline integration.
• Maintain a unified design system across Next.js, Svelte, React, iOS, and Android environments.
• Optimize frontend performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability through user testing.
• Contribute to build, testing, deployment tooling, SOPs, process improvements, and cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of frontend development experience with strong proficiency in Next.js, Svelte, and React.
• Experience designing and shipping native iOS and Android applications using React Native or native SDKs.
• Strong understanding of TypeScript, Node.js, Bun, modern bundlers, UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and AI product teams and translate product requirements into clean interfaces.
• Ability to work in the Dunkirk, NY office during Monday–Friday standard business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with Figma, Sketch, and UI component libraries.
• Open-source contributions or a portfolio demonstrating advanced web and mobile work.
• Interest in human-centered interfaces for LLM and agent-based systems.
