Product Engineer, Frontend (React)

Location: San Francisco Office, on-site; candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.

Salary: $183K–$250K plus equity.

What you will do

• Build and evolve core user-facing features in the hirify.global web application using React and TypeScript.
• Develop browser-based editor, collaboration, and AI-powered workflows with design and ECAD engineering partners.
• Maintain scalable UI state and data flows in a collaborative, multi-pane editor.
• Improve responsiveness and perceived performance as project size and complexity increase.
• Integrate frontend systems with APIs and backend services, including small backend changes when needed.
• Evolve shared component libraries, design-system primitives, feature instrumentation, and documentation.

Requirements

• Strong command of modern React and TypeScript in sizable production codebases.
• Experience shipping complex, interactive web applications such as design tools, visual editors, or multi-pane interfaces.
• Experience building responsive UIs on asynchronous or computation-heavy backend systems.
• Strong product judgment and close collaboration with design and product.
• Experience with browser performance profiling and debugging.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.

Nice to have

• Experience building distributed, collaborative, real-time applications.
• Experience with CAD, developer tools, or design tools.
• Familiarity with Redux or equivalent state-management patterns.
• Experience with WebWorkers, WebAssembly, background browser computation, or AI-powered product features.
• Experience with high-performance frontends handling large data models or open-source frontend contributions.
