What you will do
- Lead and support analytical activities for synthetic peptide product development across the preclinical and clinical development pipeline.
- Develop, optimize, troubleshoot, and implement analytical methods, testing procedures, and analytical control strategies.
- Conduct research on drug substances, impurities, and impurity profiles using chromatographic, spectroscopic, and other analytical techniques.
- Design follow-up experiments, formulate conclusions, and process, interpret, and visualize data for project team decisions.
- Represent Analytical Research and Development in cross-functional teams spanning Discovery, Process Chemistry, Safety, ADME, Drug Product Development, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Initiate scientifically meaningful investigations and independently perform productive laboratory research with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs, Masterβs, or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences with a strong analytical focus.
- Typically at least 12 years of related industry experience with a bachelorβs degree, 10 years with a masterβs degree, or 4 years with a Ph.D.
- Required experience in peptide development and strong analytical problem-solving skills, including independent method development and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of HPLC analysis and method development, spectroscopic techniques, organic chemistry, functional groups, and small-molecule analytical analysis.
- Experience using computerized data-handling systems and communicating effectively with interdisciplinary scientists and engineers.
- Ability to work autonomously, maintain high laboratory productivity, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
