Transformation Project Automation Lead (Automation)

Salary: $109,500–$208,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead the automation sub-team on a strategic capital project and report to the Project Director.
• Drive project scheduling, execution, risk management, and reporting.
• Identify automation opportunities that improve manufacturing productivity, quality, and environmental, health, and safety performance.
• Lead automation equipment and manufacturing control system design, requirements development, laboratory testing, vendor qualification, and integration.
• Act as the subject matter expert for automation technologies, new products, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability.
• Manage control-system lifecycles and provide troubleshooting and optimization support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience developing and maintaining automation software, equipment, and PLC systems in manufacturing.
• Experience with system development and validation, including DS, FS, URS specifications, risk-based validation strategies, and validation protocols.
• Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 requirements for automated systems in pharmaceutical or medical device industries.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement untested solutions.
• Technical program leadership experience, including vendor management and leading cross-functional teams.
