Project Manager - Infrastructure

Location: Hybrid in Columbia, South Carolina, with office attendance 1–2 days per week

What you will do

• Manage enterprise IT projects from initiation through completion and formal closeout.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Coordinate internal technical teams, external vendors, agency stakeholders, business partners, and leadership.
• Track project resources, budgets, risks, issues, and financial performance.
• Prepare project-status reports and executive updates while facilitating communication across technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Deliver initiatives involving infrastructure consolidation, modernization, hosting, disaster recovery, security, privacy, and technology operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, business management, public administration, information technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional project-management experience.
• PMI training or PMP certification, with strong knowledge of PMI PMBOK principles and methodologies.
• Experience with project planning, scheduling, resource management, budgeting, risk management, and issue resolution.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders and communicate complex projects clearly.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, organizational, prioritization, and relationship-management skills.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of professional project-management experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Experience with enterprise IT, infrastructure modernization, hosting, disaster recovery, security, or public-sector technology projects.
• Experience supporting large, complex, or multi-organization technology environments.
