APM Specialist

Location: Hybrid; remote work arrangements are also available. hirify.global operates offices in Malta, the UK, Italy, Austria, Serbia, Romania, and the UAE, and collaborates with consultants outside these locations.

What you will do

• Develop monitoring dashboards and alerts for response time, throughput, error rates, and resource utilization.
• Analyze APM data to identify bottlenecks, root causes, and optimization opportunities.
• Configure and deploy APM agents and collectors with SRE and infrastructure teams.
• Organize incident response and resolve performance-related issues through appropriate escalation procedures.
• Conduct performance testing and assess the impact of application changes and upgrades.
• Document APM procedures and best practices while supporting internal and third-party applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with APM tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, and Elastic.
• Understanding of application architecture, including web servers, application servers, databases, and caching layers.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift and proficiency in shell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and SSL networking concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and collaborate effectively with development, SRE, operations, and infrastructure teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL.
