Presales Systems Engineer (Networking) - New York/New Jersey Metro

Location: Remote/Teleworker, but candidates must reside in the New Jersey / New York Metro area. Regular travel throughout the assigned territory is required for customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.

Salary: USD 199,000–411,500 annual compensation in New York; USD 175,000–411,500 in New Jersey. The range combines base salary and target-level sales compensation at 100% of the sales plan, with a 75%/25% mix.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Managers to identify, qualify, and close complex enterprise opportunities.
• Design and present end-to-end networking solutions aligned with customer business objectives.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept.
• Develop technical proposals and solution architectures for enterprise customers.
• Position HPE Networking solutions against competitive offerings and communicate business value.
• Build relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders while supporting opportunities through deployment and adoption.

Requirements

• Previous experience with Juniper Networking products, including MX, SRX, QFX, and EX, as well as HPE Aruba WiFi, Central, and ClearPass.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong presales, systems engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience supporting enterprise customers.
• Excellent customer-facing communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
• Experience with high-density enterprise wireless LANs, Layer 2 switching, Layer 3 routing, BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, IP addressing, and subnetting.
• Experience with NAC solutions, Python scripting, network automation frameworks, cloud-managed networking platforms, and cloud technologies.
