Assistant Manager / Manager - Product Costing (SAP Controlling)

Location: Hybrid, Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia

What you will do

• Perform product costing and controlling activities for local and global group companies, including costing runs, period-end closing, and analysis.
• Assure the quality of material master data from a finance and evaluation perspective.
• Consult group companies on product costing topics.
• Analyze and optimize existing processes and implement improvements in SAP.
• Develop CO processes, including conception, documentation, testing, and training.
• Create and maintain process documentation and training materials while supporting operational and supervisory tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting or a professional accounting certification.
• At least 5 years of experience in product costing or SAP Controlling.
• Strong accounting fundamentals.
• Good written and verbal English communication is required for collaboration with colleagues across Asia and Germany.
• Experience supporting finance-related projects, such as system migrations or implementation of new tax rules, is advantageous.
• Experience in a shared service environment is advantageous.
