Microbiology Technician - Sterile (Microbiology)

What you will do

• Support sterility testing by checking method suitability and preparing, handling, aliquoting, storing, and tracking samples.
• Prepare solutions, reagents, and microbiological media with accurate measurements and appropriate storage.
• Enter, verify, and maintain test and sample data in laboratory information systems, including receiving, logging, inventory control, and FIFO practices.
• Clean, maintain, and organize laboratory equipment, glassware, workspaces, and stock rooms while following biohazard waste procedures.
• Follow sterile laboratory safety protocols and Biological Safety Cabinet standards.
• Collaborate with microbiologists, Quality Assurance, Client Care, and internal teams to support laboratory operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or a related science field.
• Basic knowledge of microbiological techniques, sterile laboratory protocols, and sample handling.
• Experience with laboratory information systems and data entry.
• Experience in cGLP- or cGMP-regulated laboratories.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, time management, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety rules precisely, work independently, and perform accurate laboratory testing.

Nice to have

• Relevant laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with Biological Safety Cabinets and sterile environments.
