What you will do

  • Prepare and perform microbiological tests for medical devices and pharmaceutical products under USP, FDA, AAMI, ISO, and cGMP procedures.
  • Conduct bioburden, LAL endotoxin, sterility, particulate matter, and cleanroom validation and monitoring tests.
  • Record, analyze, and present accurate test results, including technical reports with tables, graphs, and diagrams.
  • Perform equipment, media, and microorganism quality control, as well as equipment qualification, maintenance, and calibration.
  • Manage test samples, laboratory supplies, cleanroom gowning, laboratory cleaning, troubleshooting, and onsite or offsite testing.
  • Report deviations and nonconformities and support root cause analysis, CAPA, OOS, nonconformance investigation, and change control activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related life science.
  • Ideally 1–3 years of experience performing basic microbiological laboratory tests.
  • At least 1 year of experience with GMP, ISO, USP, or related standards.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment including microscopes, autoclaves, balances, hoods, particulate counters, membrane filtration systems, and endotoxin plate readers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform corrective actions, train others, multitask, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work with potentially hazardous chemicals and reagents and lift up to 30 pounds.
