Senior Scientist II, Computational Pathology, Precision Medicine Pathology (AI)

Salary: $109,500–$208,500 annual base pay

What you will do

• Develop, train, and validate machine learning models for histopathology image segmentation, object detection, and classification.
• Apply deep learning and representation learning to digital pathology challenges.
• Curate large-scale pathology datasets and maintain data quality for model training and evaluation.
• Build preprocessing, feature engineering, scalable AI/ML, and model deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with pathologists, biologists, statisticians, data analysts, engineers, and external research partners.
• Analyze histopathology and spatial omics data to identify biomarkers supporting patient stratification and companion diagnostics.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field focused on computer vision or machine learning; alternatively, an M.S. with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with image analysis, including segmentation, object detection, and classification.
• Proficiency in Python, OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Familiarity with MLOps, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management in production.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud platforms and scalable AI/ML pipelines.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and technical explanation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital pathology, biomedical imaging, histopathology, microscopy, or tissue imaging datasets.
• Experience with spatial omics or integrating molecular data with image analysis.
• Knowledge of precision medicine, biomarker discovery, or personalized treatment strategies.
• Cell and molecular biology knowledge in oncology, immunology, or cancer immunotherapy.
