What you will do

• Develop and characterize drug-conjugate processes from preclinical through clinical development.
• Lead conjugation chemistry and downstream unit operations through drug-substance production.
• Translate laboratory processes into scalable processes and support process characterization.
• Participate in or lead cross-functional CMC project teams and deliver materials, methods, and milestones.
• Author and review regulatory documents, technical reports, laboratory data, presentations, and publications.
• Collaborate with organic and analytical chemists, engineers, drug-product development, manufacturing, and program-management teams; mentor direct reports where applicable.

Requirements

• North Chicago, Illinois, United States
• BS with 12+ years, MS with 10+ years, or PhD with 4+ years in chemistry or an allied field, plus 2+ years in a pharmaceutical laboratory setting.
• Required experience in drug-conjugate process development.
• Scientific leadership, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and experience leading cross-functional process-development teams.
• Strong understanding of modern organic chemistry, mechanistic theory, control-strategy development, and regulatory starting-material strategies.
• Ability to follow corporate conduct, safety, and GxP compliance standards.
