What you will do

• Develop functional-area strategies and design and execute design-of-experiments studies for pivotal and commercial-ready drug product programs.
• Apply expertise in organic chemistry, molecular assemblies, structure, reactivity, and physicochemical properties of drug substances and excipients.
• Conduct independent formulation research supporting oral solid dosage form development.
• Collaborate with Drug Substance Technologies, Attribute Sciences, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Contract Manufacturing, Pharmacokinetics, Clinical Development, and other functions.
• Summarize research results in technical documents, regulatory filings, and presentations.
• Engage with external industry groups and academic partners.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD, with relevant postdoctoral experience where applicable; or a master's degree plus 3 years of scientific experience; or a bachelor's degree plus 5 years of scientific experience.
• Relevant scientific background in organic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or pharmaceutical sciences.
• Strong understanding of organic molecules, solid-state chemistry, physicochemical properties, and scientific principles related to solid dosage forms.
• Experience with characterization techniques such as XRPD, DSC, TGA, and SEM.
• Knowledge of oral solid dosage manufacturing unit operations and pharmaceutical industry practices.
• Ability to lead research, collaborate cross-functionally, and produce detailed technical writing and publications.
