Supervisor, Accounting

Accounting operations for a Mexico-based entity with reporting requirements to the corporate USA organization.

What you will do

• Supervise the general accounting function and maintain one or more accounting systems.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, invoicing, collections, inventory, accruals, journal entries, and inter-company transfers.
• Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, reconcile bank statements, perform currency conversions, and prepare operating and financial statements.
• Prepare tax reports, submissions, and returns, including IVA and sales, payroll, and personal property taxes.
• Coordinate external audit materials and financial reporting, and produce monthly local Mexico and corporate USA reports.
• Review accounting data for errors, maintain financial controls, and oversee or provide backup for general office administration.

Requirements

• Understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles.
• Bookkeeping experience, including ledgers, journal entries, trial balances, and financial statements.
• Experience with bank reconciliation, fixed assets, depreciation, inventory accounting, accruals, and tax records.
• Ability to compile, consolidate, analyze, and report financial and revenue data.
• Ability to support financial management, budgeting, accounting, and payroll procedures.
• Additional security screening may be required for access to export-controlled information.
