Co-op (Summer Term)

Location: US-PA-Cheswick (EMD); positions are based at the Pittsburgh-area Cheswick location.

EMD, a Curtiss-Wright business unit, designs, manufactures, tests, and supports critical-function equipment for the United States Navy and the commercial nuclear industry.

What you will do

• Support mechanical engineering work across defense, commercial nuclear, analytical, stress and thermal, and manufacturing engineering departments.
• Contribute to electrical engineering, facilities, engineering processes, and product design activities.
• Support industrial engineering initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, project scheduling, logistics, and inventory control.
• Assist with buying, contracts administration, accounting, supply chain data analysis, and project control.
• Contribute to welding engineering activities and the design, development, manufacture, testing, and qualification of critical-function equipment.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an academic program relevant to the selected internship or co-op department.
• Availability for a summer, spring, or fall semester placement.
• Recruitment typically takes place at least one semester before the planned start date.
• Additional security screening may be required for access to export-controlled information.
