Co-op (Spring Term)

Location: US-PA-Cheswick (EMD), Pittsburgh area

Company

EMD, a Curtiss-Wright business unit, designs, manufactures, tests, and supports critical-function pumps, motors, generators, seals, control rod drive mechanisms, and power conditioning electronics for the United States Navy and the commercial nuclear industry.

What you will do

• Support mechanical engineering activities across defense, commercial nuclear, analytical, stress and thermal, and manufacturing engineering departments.
• Contribute to electrical engineering work in facilities, engineering processes, resources, and product design.
• Support industrial engineering initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, project scheduling, logistics, and inventory control.
• Work in supply chain, contracts administration, accounting, IT, buying, and supply chain data analysis.
• Assist welding engineering activities supporting the design, manufacture, testing, and qualification of critical-function equipment.

Requirements

• Apply for an intern or co-op position for the Spring, Summer, or Fall semester.
• Work location is Cheswick, Pennsylvania, United States.
• Some assignments may involve exposure to export-controlled information and additional security screening.
• Eligibility to access export-controlled information may be required for certain assignments.
