Senior AI Engineer (Python)

Location: Must hold Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance (US-based)

Salary: $260,000–$285,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop production-grade AI applications using Python.
• Architect LLM-powered workflows, RAG pipelines, and AI agent capabilities.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and data pipelines to support mission data integration.
• Translate natural language requests into deterministic analytical workflows.
• Collaborate directly with mission stakeholders to prototype and transition solutions into production.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical architecture and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Must hold active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance.
• 12+ years of professional software development experience (or 8 years with a B.S. degree).
• Strong production experience with Python and backend system architecture.
• Proven experience building AI-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, or AI agents.
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL, and data storage technologies like Elasticsearch.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholder collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or PydanticAI.
• Proficiency with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with modern web development (React, TypeScript).
• Background in supporting classified mission environments.
