Principal R&D Engineer (Healthcare)

Salary: $156,500–$290,100 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Build customer-facing tools used by hirify.global members.
• Develop rapid experiments and prototypes to validate product ideas with real users.
• Deploy, iterate, and improve software in live environments.
• Build platform capabilities that increase future product development velocity.
• Partner with product leaders to understand users, problems, and product intent.
• Help define the operating model and long-term direction of the new R&D unit.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and a bias toward shipping.
• Experience solving ambiguous problems with real users and practical constraints.
• Demonstrated success leading high-impact projects or initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and influencing technical direction at an organizational level.
• Exposure to large-scale systems, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise-grade software development.
• A track record of building software that was used in production; healthcare experience is not required.
