Senior Software Engineer

Location: Seattle HQ, United States; hybrid. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 base pay annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build desktop features that unify meeting preparation, capture, and review into one cohesive experience.
• Expand meeting capture across Windows and macOS, including system audio capture and device access.
• Investigate on-device transcription and audio processing and collect signals to strengthen AI capabilities.
• Integrate external hardware to improve audio capture quality.
• Develop maintainable Rust code with strong tests, clear interfaces, and productive engineering conventions.
• Own release quality, including signing, notarization, auto-updates, and crash telemetry, while partnering with product and design on roadmap decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including meaningful desktop or client application work.
• Experience shipping and supporting installed software used by customers on Windows, macOS, or both.
• Working proficiency in Rust, or deep systems experience in a comparable language with a strong interest in Rust.
• Ability to work across the native/web boundary using React and TypeScript.
• Practical knowledge of permissions, device access, background processes, packaging, and software distribution.
• US work authorization required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Audio capture, DSP, or real-time media pipeline experience.
• Tauri or comparable hybrid framework experience.
• On-device ML or local inference experience.
• Hardware or peripheral integration experience.
