Senior Software Engineer, DVIP

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; hybrid

Salary: $137,100–$188,300 base salary per year for the San Francisco Bay Area, plus bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop hirify.global imaging and video algorithms and software.
• Contribute to technical architectures supporting imaging technology innovation across ecosystems and device categories.
• Productize proof-of-concepts into high-performance, high-quality software libraries.
• Optimize algorithms for CPU processors using multithreading and SIMD instructions.
• Partner with QA to improve hardware, software, and test automation environments.
• Follow source control, continuous integration, automated testing, release management, and documentation practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on multimedia technologies.
• Professional coding experience with C and C++.
• Understanding of C/C++ optimization for CPU processors using multithreading or SIMD instructions.
• Development experience on Microsoft Windows or Linux.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Sunnyvale, California, United States.

Nice to have

• Video and image processing experience, including OpenCV or OpenMP.
• GPU acceleration with OpenGL, Vulkan, Direct3D, CUDA, or OpenCL.
• Production machine learning experience and C++ inference support for ONNX models using onnxruntime or other runtimes.
• Experience porting MATLAB code to C/C++, and expertise with Python.
• Knowledge of cinema, television production and post-production workflows, HDR technologies, Perforce or Git, and Jira.
