Salary: $118.9K–$172.2K USD annually for the Bay Area California market; incentive opportunities may also be available.

What you will do

• Design and develop AI and machine learning solutions using LLMs, retrieval systems, and agent-based architectures.
• Build agentic AI workflows that coordinate models, tools, enterprise data sources, APIs, and multi-step reasoning.
• Develop data processing, indexing, retrieval, search, and knowledge-discovery pipelines.
• Create evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and monitoring solutions to measure quality, accuracy, and user impact.
• Develop and maintain scalable cloud-native services and APIs supporting AI applications.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and domain experts on architecture, design reviews, and scalable AI solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering, machine learning, data science, or a related discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript.
• Experience with machine learning, generative AI, LLMs, information retrieval, vector databases, embeddings, or RAG.
• Experience developing scalable services on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, with familiarity with REST APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
• Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks, agentic AI systems, Azure AI Search, or Azure OpenAI.
• Knowledge of evaluation frameworks, experimentation, A/B testing, knowledge graphs, semantic search, or recommendation systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, MLOps, model deployment, and production AI systems.
• Experience in developer tools, enterprise software, or technical documentation environments.
