Accounting Associate (Manufacturing)

Location: Richland, Washington, United States

Salary: $42,000–$53,000 per year; annual bonus based on plant performance metrics.

What you will do

• Process weekly hourly payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Post, verify, and balance general ledger entries and accounts.
• Process and validate accounts payable transactions and prepare batch payments.
• Audit, collect, adjust, and correct accounts receivable transactions.
• Support plant month-end financial close and prepare reports, analyses, and statements.
• Maintain accounting files, respond to corporate requests, and provide administrative support.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• At least one year of experience in a business office or accounting function, including exposure to general ledger, payroll, or accounts payable.
• Solid knowledge of accounting procedures and strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and preferably advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Ability to manage confidential information, multiple deadlines, and detailed documentation in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or college accounting coursework.
• Experience in manufacturing, containerboard, or corrugated packaging.
• Experience with accounts payable and general ledger software.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.
