Director, People Systems and Operations (AI)

Location: Anywhere in the United States. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Salary: $153,300–$185,400 national pay range, with potential eligibility for stock options, bonuses, and merit increases.

What you will do

• Set the strategy and roadmap for the HR technology ecosystem, including implementation, configuration, integrations, user experience, process improvement, and vendor relationships.
• Own the HRIS as the source of truth for employee data, improving automation, governance, data accuracy, adoption, and connections to payroll, benefits, analytics, and other People systems.
• Improve employee lifecycle experiences from offers and onboarding through promotions, leaves of absence, and offboarding.
• Build people analytics, dashboards, and self-service tools to support workforce decisions, retention, and information flow.
• Lead People-related compliance across immigration, leave administration, audits, labor requirements, policy questions, and complex employee matters.
• Lead AI adoption and experimentation in People processes while partnering with IT, Finance, Legal, Talent, Rewards, and IDEA teams; contribute to People strategy and develop a high-performing team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive People Operations experience, including 3+ years leading People Operations, HRIS, or People Systems teams at manager or director level.
• Deep experience administering and optimizing global HRIS platforms such as Workday, Rippling, or HiBob, including implementations, integrations, automation, data integrity, and reporting.
• Experience scaling People processes, integrating payroll and benefits, managing cross-border employee data and reporting, and addressing workforce data privacy.
• Hands-on experience evaluating, piloting, or implementing AI and automation in People Operations.
• Strong project management, change leadership, problem-solving, analytics, HR reporting, dashboarding, and self-service tool skills.
• Experience building and leading diverse, high-performing teams and partnering strategically with senior leaders.
