Software Engineer (Python/Azure)

Salary: $77,400–$135,400 per year, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and optimize relational database solutions with SQL Server, Azure SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, and data models.
• Improve database performance, reliability, and scalability through indexing, query tuning, and optimization.
• Build cloud data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Azure SQL, Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and PySpark.
• Develop relational and dimensional data models, including Slowly Changing Dimension patterns.
• Support AI/ML initiatives by preparing feature datasets and collaborating with data science teams to operationalize models.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, Agile ceremonies, production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and data governance activities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience; a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL and strong T-SQL query development, performance tuning, and optimization skills.
• Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar distributed data processing platforms.
• Hands-on Python experience for data processing, analytics, or data engineering workflows.
• Experience working in Azure cloud environments and with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with .NET, C#, .NET Core, Angular, or AI/ML.
• Relevant bachelor's degree.
