Senior Software Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Java-based microservices, REST APIs, event-driven services, and AMQ messaging integrations.
• Build scalable, secure, resilient, observable, and maintainable backend services using cloud-native practices.
• Develop and enhance services with Spring Boot, MongoDB, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, and technology teams to define requirements and technical approaches.
• Support production operations through incident triage, debugging, root-cause analysis, monitoring, alerting, and recovery practices.
• Contribute to architecture, technical prototypes, reusable engineering patterns, code quality, security, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on backend development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, MongoDB, AMQ or similar messaging platforms, CI/CD, automated testing, and SQL or relational databases.
• Seasoned experience with AWS and event-driven distributed systems; Kubernetes experience is required.
• Knowledge of API design, data modeling, MongoDB schema design, asynchronous messaging, enterprise integration patterns, secure coding, and production readiness.
• Experience with production support, incident triage, debugging, monitoring, alerting, resiliency improvements, and root-cause analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent education and experience.

• Experience mentoring peers and contributing to architecture and design discussions.
