Quality & Safety Manager

Location: Seattle, United States; in-person position with field presence required 2–3 days per week

Salary: $28–30 per hour; expected 20–30 hours per week, including evening and/or weekend coverage

What you will do

• Conduct on-the-road supervision, ride-alongs, and shadowing to verify safety and service compliance.
• Monitor driver interactions and adherence to safety protocols, providing coaching and constructive feedback.
• Partner with the Field Manager to deliver initial, remedial, and refresher driver training.
• Lead post-accident and post-incident protocols as the Designated Employer Representative for DOT compliance.
• Respond to urgent operational issues and implement real-time solutions to maintain service continuity.
• Review complaints, driver feedback, training documentation, and training needs to improve service standards.

Requirements

• Experience in transit supervision, transportation management, or a similar field is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide drivers.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic situations.
• Strong communication skills for feedback delivery and conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and ADA/paratransit compliance is a plus.
