NDT Inspector (Aerospace)

Location: Shelby, North Carolina, United States; onsite

Hourly range: $25.38–$35.00

What you will do

• Perform non-destructive testing on fabricated or purchased components, subassemblies, and finished products.
• Conduct magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI), including pre-inspection cleaning and post-inspection preservation.
• Determine effective methods, sequences, and procedures for assigned NDT activities using regulations, codes, standards, drawings, and specifications.
• Create and record MPI techniques and obtain approval from the responsible NDT Level 3.
• Perform weekly, monthly, and annual equipment testing and interpret and record results.
• Optimize work processes and maintain inspection records.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be a US citizen.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Maintain NDT Level 2 certifications in MPI and FPI.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with applicable regulations, codes, standards, drawings, and specifications.
