Assistant Unit Controller

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze financial operations, manufacturing and cost performance, cash flow, operating variances, trends, and business drivers.
• Lead the financial close process and prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Ensure accurate and timely actual-results reporting and support global financial planning processes.
• Maintain financial, management, and compliance reporting in partnership with the Business Unit Controller and cross-functional leadership.
• Evaluate financial issues, identify risks and growth obstacles, and recommend corrective strategies.
• Review proposals and ledger transactions, prepare special reports, support accounts receivable and payable, payroll processing, and strategic planning.

Requirements

• Knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, auditing, IFRS, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Five or more years of related financial management and accounting experience, including two years in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with long-term contract accounting, including EAC, POC, and ETC.
• Strong spreadsheet, database, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
