Maintenance Repair Tech, Sr

Location: New Britain, Connecticut, United States; Monday–Friday, first shift; onsite at a liquid coatings facility.

Hourly rate: $30–$35 per hour.

What you will do

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Repair and maintain pumps, conveying augers, dust collectors, blast rooms, and other industrial machinery.
• Assemble and fasten machinery using hand tools, power tools, bolts, welds, and rivets.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, measuring tools, lasers, and plumb bobs.
• Operate machinery and, when needed, engine lathes or milling machines to produce parts to dimensional specifications.
• Plan work, solve mechanical problems, and follow precise safety and accuracy standards, including working at heights.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Experience constructing and repairing industrial machines.
• Experience repairing and lubricating machinery and equipment.
• Experience aligning machines and equipment with mechanical and precision measuring tools.
• Basic electrical knowledge and machine troubleshooting skills.
• Welding experience.
