Data Platform Engineer (Oracle EBS Application DBA)

Location: Hybrid in Lincolnshire, Illinois or Holtsville, New York, with at least 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remote within the US

Salary: $108,960–$163,440 annual base pay, plus a target annual cash incentive of 12% of base pay.

What you will do

• Manage and support Oracle Database 19c or newer RAC, Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.x, WebLogic, and related hosted data platform services.
• Act as an escalation point for Oracle EBS and database issues, troubleshooting integrated applications and performing root-cause analysis.
• Perform database and system administration, including installation, patching, cloning, backup, recovery, performance tuning, and security controls.
• Deploy, upgrade, relocate, and decommission database servers across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Build automation and monitoring tools for large-scale distributed systems and improve platform reliability.
• Define database strategy, architecture, standards, and procedures for new projects while helping evolve existing platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong physical DBA experience with Oracle 19c or newer RAC on Linux/Unix, including database creation, patching, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Expertise administering Oracle EBS R12.2.x, including upgrades, migrations, and application support.
• Full lifecycle experience with Oracle WebLogic Server, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Strong Linux/Unix and shell scripting experience, plus experience developing tools to automate or monitor distributed systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaborative prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Fusion, EPM, OTM, SOA Suite, ODI, or other Oracle Middleware technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Oracle certifications such as OCP, OCA, OCI Architect, or WebLogic Server Administrator.
• Advanced degree and experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
