Apprentice Instrumentation & Electrical Technician (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Onsite in Orangeville, Utah, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder). Willingness to work varying schedules and travel to project locations is required.

What you will do

• Assist with installing, terminating, maintaining, testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation, controls, wiring, conduit, panels, and electrical equipment.
• Support calibration and functional testing of transmitters, switches, sensors, control valves, and other field instrumentation.
• Learn to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, P&IDs, datasheets, and related technical documentation.
• Develop proficiency with digital multimeters, process calibrators, and other IC&E test equipment.
• Support equipment startup, commissioning, loop checks, and system functional testing while documenting results and deficiencies.
• Work with IC&E personnel, Engineering, Operations, and other trades while following safety procedures and participating in technical training.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Interest in instrumentation, controls, electrical systems, electronics, industrial maintenance, or a related technical trade.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow written procedures and technical instructions and to learn electrical and instrumentation fundamentals.
• Strong safety mindset, dependability, accountability, and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment and perform the physical requirements of field IC&E work.
