Intern, Maintenance Engineering (Medtech)

What you will do

• Review contract manufacturer documentation and convert it into local hirify.global Malaysia SOP format.
• Check documentation against local process flows and support manufacturing operations related to the Omnipod process.
• Track production-line efficiency, scrap, downtime, and related performance data.
• Monitor data collection systems, identify trends, and present clear, actionable information.
• Analyze and improve business processes to increase operational efficiency.
• Work with cross-functional teams on long-term process improvement and implementation projects.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a BS or MS engineering program, or in the final year of an engineering or similar course.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations and an understanding of the Omnipod process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analytics tools.
• Ability to work independently, stay self-motivated, and provide daily updates to a supervisor or coach.
• Compliance with safety rules, quality policies, employee guidelines, cGMP requirements, and FDA guidelines.

Nice to have

• Data analysis experience with Minitab, JMP, or Excel.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Fluency in English, Malay, and Mandarin.
