TL;DR
Product & Test Engineer (Bitcoin Mining ASICs): Driving post-silicon productization of bitcoin mining ASICs from silicon bring-up through high-volume manufacturing with an accent on characterization, yield optimization, ATE test strategy, and system-level performance. Focus on analyzing silicon data across wafer sort, final test, bench, and system platforms, optimizing ASIC binning, and solving manufacturing and correlation challenges.

Building open-economy products including Bitkey self-custody bitcoin wallets and hardware and software for decentralized bitcoin mining.

What you will do

  • Drive post-silicon bring-up, characterization, qualification, and productization from first silicon through mass production.
  • Develop and optimize wafer sort and final test screening strategies for power, performance, yield, quality, and DPPM.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain ATE test programs and define characterization plans across process, voltage, and temperature conditions.
  • Analyze data across CP, FT, bench, and system platforms to improve correlation, identify root causes, and optimize system-level performance.
  • Plan and execute DOE studies for silicon characterization, yield optimization, and process tuning.
  • Collaborate with ASIC Design, ATE, Systems, Reliability, Foundry, OSAT, and external vendors on binning, hardware requirements, qualification, and manufacturing execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Silicon Validation, or Post-Silicon Engineering in fabless or semiconductor environments.
  • Strong understanding of wafer sort, final test, qualification, and high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience with silicon bring-up, characterization, yield analysis, product qualification, and advanced-node ASICs or SoCs.
  • Experience with Advantest 93K, Chroma, or comparable ATE platforms, including production test program development or debugging.
  • Strong statistical analysis and debugging skills using JMP, Python, or similar tools, plus experience with DOE, silicon correlation, and yield optimization.

Nice to have

  • Experience with near-threshold operation, low-voltage optimization, or system-level characterization.
  • Background in high-performance computing, AI, networking, or bitcoin mining ASICs.
  • Understanding of semiconductor device physics, SPICE fundamentals, and FinFET technologies.
  • Scripting or automation experience with Python, Perl, or TCL.
  • Verbal fluency in Mandarin.
