Data Product Manager

Location: Remote within the United States; preference for candidates in Washington, DC or New York

Target annual compensation: $127,500–$182,750, plus competitive benefits.

What you will do

• Own requirements and the roadmap for hirify.global’s unified data model.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders to design extensible data architecture and resolve competing schema needs.
• Translate ambiguous organizational needs into engineering requirements across source ingestion, storage, business intelligence, Data-as-a-Service, and product APIs.
• Define product requirements, specifications, and data contracts in partnership with data engineering.
• Drive data governance standards covering naming, ownership, quality, and documentation.
• Track adoption across downstream products, address migration risks and data quality gaps, and present model and roadmap decisions to leadership.

Requirements

• Strategic and technically fluent product management experience focused on data products.
• Ability to work with data model diagrams, stakeholders, engineering requirements, and product roadmaps.
• Experience balancing near-term feature requests with long-term extensibility, governance, and business value.
• Ability to collaborate with data engineering, analytics, platform engineering, and multiple product teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy, utilities, fintech, or expense-management software.
• Familiarity with utility billing, tariff, or usage data structures.
• Experience with data governance frameworks, master data management, or data cataloging tools.
• Exposure to AI or ML-driven data extraction or classification pipelines.
• Experience with platform consolidation or M&A-driven system integration.
