What you will do

  • Lead electrical, functional, and failure-analysis investigations across prototype, validation, production, reliability, complaint, and field-return phases.
  • Troubleshoot PCBAs, electronic assemblies, and medical device systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, thermal imaging, and power analyzers.
  • Develop, validate, and improve electrical test methods, fixtures, automated test systems, and diagnostic processes.
  • Drive root-cause investigations, CAPA, nonconformance disposition, risk assessments, corrective actions, and product reliability improvements.
  • Support process validation, product transfer, production readiness, supplier investigations, and advanced laboratory analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports, maintain procedures and work instructions, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, testing, validation, or failure analysis within a regulated industry.
  • Advanced expertise in PCBA troubleshooting, board-level debugging, failure analysis, structured root-cause investigations, and electronic test-system development.
  • Experience with CAPA, nonconformance investigations, risk assessments, Quality Management Systems, and regulated medical-device requirements.
  • Knowledge of electronic circuits, PCBA manufacturing, failure mechanisms, and Design for Manufacturability and Testability principles.
  • Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, automated test equipment, data analysis, technical documentation, and cross-functional technical leadership.
  • Ability to work hands-on in an onsite, fast-paced environment focused on product quality, reliability, and patient safety.
