Field Reimbursement Manager (Diabetes Care)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland / Washington, D.C.; must reside within the assigned geographic area. Field-based work requires regular business travel within the territory, including variable overnight and air travel.

Salary: $76,399–$161,204.50 annual base salary, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Build expertise in diabetes patient access, payer trends, coverage policies, competitive products, and reimbursement landscapes.
• Identify patient access barriers and use data analytics to develop account strategies and process improvements.
• Recommend tailored access solutions for endocrinology and primary care clinics, health systems, and other care settings.
• Create and deliver education on reimbursement workflows, prior authorization, denial management, appeals, and affordability programs.
• Coordinate account targeting and customer engagement with field, market access, payer, customer care, clinical services, and sales teams.
• Strengthen relationships with healthcare providers and administrative staff while supporting patient access and pull-through strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a health-related subject.
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement or patient access.
• Deep understanding of reimbursement, payer processes, coding, and billing.
• Strong communication, influencing, collaboration, education, and complex problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the assigned geographic region.
• Ability to lift, carry, and transport 30 pounds of literature.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as MBA, PharmD, or MPH.
• Knowledge of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.
• Previous field reimbursement manager or diabetes patient access experience.
