Financial Planner II (CIRO-ID)

Location: On-site full-time in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; flexibility to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance. Banking centre hours may include evenings and weekends.

What you will do

• Manage and grow a dedicated client portfolio through relationship management and exceptional client service.
• Engage new and existing clients to understand their goals and create comprehensive financial plans using CIBC tools.
• Provide trusted investment advice and needs-based credit and investment solutions.
• Develop local-market sales plans, convert leads into clients, and generate referrals.
• Build community connections through local events, marketing, and outreach activities.

Requirements

• Postsecondary degree or diploma and/or four years of relevant experience.
• Current accreditation and good standing as a Registered Representative with CIRO Investment Dealer.
• Personal Financial Planner, Certified Financial Planner, or Qualified Associate Financial Planner designation.
• Legal eligibility to work in the specified Canadian location; a valid work or study permit may be required.
• Ability to work on-site full-time, including potentially evenings and weekends, and travel between nearby banking centres.
• For Quebec roles: AMF licensing, CIFC or CSC completion, and Registered Retirement Consultant designation.
