Senior Systems Engineering Technician (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Acton, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $28.07–$42.10 annual base salary range, plus potential incentive compensation.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery technologies for diabetes and additional therapeutic areas.

What you will do

• Execute verification, characterization, reliability, ad hoc, and device evaluation testing.
• Build and maintain test benches, fixtures, prototype devices, software environments, and laboratory systems.
• Collect, analyze, document, and report test data in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Manage laboratory equipment, maintenance, calibration schedules, tool files, and vendor service coordination.
• Manage R&D materials, inventory, procurement support, storage, distribution, and asset records across Acton and Billerica facilities.
• Partner with engineering, quality, facilities, finance, and other R&D teams to troubleshoot issues, improve lab operations, and lead moderately complex projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 8+ years of laboratory, development lab, engineering technician, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, or related technical experience.
• Experience with GDP, technical documentation, data logging, test methods, troubleshooting, and root-cause investigation.
• Strong computer skills, including command-line and terminal-based systems, Microsoft Office, and technical writing.
• Ability to support regulated medical device environments, including 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 requirements.
• Ability to work on-site, lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs infrequently, reach overhead, and sit or stand for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with test automation platforms, data acquisition systems, Jira, ALM tools, SAP, or ServiceNow.
• Medical device, life sciences, or other regulated-industry experience.
• Experience operating 3D printing equipment and supporting software, hardware, and systems-level testing.
