Systems Engineer, Network Automation

What you will do

• Develop software components, tools, infrastructure, and services for network automation.
• Improve network resilience and reduce engineering operational toil.
• Design and deliver practical, maintainable, and scalable solutions across new and existing systems.
• Work with network engineering teams supporting a global network and data-center infrastructure.
• Use AI tools and automated assistants to streamline daily workflows and project delivery.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing software components for network automation.
• Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and programming languages such as Python and Golang.
• Proficiency with modern Unix/Linux operating systems and experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, or equivalent SQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD, containers or virtualization, and observability systems such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Demonstrated experience working with AI assistants or automated tools to augment task execution and project delivery.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of network engineering, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols and vendor equipment such as Cisco and Juniper.
• Experience building and maintaining large distributed systems.
• Experience managing internal or external customer requirements and expectations.
