PHP Engineer

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance Tuesday through Thursday and optional work from home on Mondays and Fridays

What you will do

• Build and integrate new APIs to improve the customer journey.
• Optimize lending platforms and contribute to reliable financial products.
• Participate in architectural discussions and make backend engineering decisions.
• Work collaboratively with backend, frontend, mobile, and platform engineers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with PHP and modern PHP development.
• Strong PHP 8.0+ experience and a good understanding of Symfony.
• Experience with automatic unit, integration, functional, and Behat testing.
• High ownership, autonomy, and a business-oriented engineering approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with Domain-Driven Design, message-driven systems, or event sourcing.
• Experience working on financial systems.
• Desire to learn and contribute to a collaborative team.
