Generator Engineer

Location: Office-based in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom, with travel to UK customer sites for outage support and fault finding.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for Siemens generators and associated products.
• Contribute engineering expertise to new product development.
• Author technical reports, work scopes, and test procedures.
• Support internal customers and collaborate with the Siemens Global Engineering Network.
• Prepare for outages, deliver customer presentations, and provide on-site fault-finding support.

Requirements

• University degree in engineering.
• Practical engineering knowledge and willingness to learn the Siemens generator product range.
• Experience in power generation, particularly with large turbo-generators and auxiliary systems, is advantageous; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with ERP and drawing retrieval systems for locating drawings, bills of materials, and procedures.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of control and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of hydrogen systems and ATEX requirements.
