Software Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Develop trading tools for Cumberland and FICC options trading desks.
• Own products end to end, from rapid prototypes through stable production systems.
• Embed with trading desks to understand problem spaces, model domain requirements, and deliver ergonomic, performant, and extensible solutions.
• Build, maintain, and extend the central trading platform across greenfield and legacy systems.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Research Engineering, and Execution Engineering.
• Provide on-call support as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience using Python, Java, and C++, with the ability to work comfortably across multiple programming languages.
• Experience working directly with end customers and delivering production systems in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, identify risks early, and minimize unnecessary complexity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders and engineers.
• Experience in financial markets, particularly delta-one store-of-value products and/or FICC options trading.
• Experience with Linux-based, concurrent, high-throughput, low-latency software systems, plus a bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
