Software Engineer - Client Trading Infrastructure (Java)

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year, excluding bonuses, benefits, and other compensation.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain proprietary low-latency trading systems and infrastructure.
• Develop front-to-back client trading infrastructure covering order management, exchange connectivity, smart order routing, internalization, and clearing.
• Build trading tools that leverage high-performance systems.
• Improve the scalability, performance, and efficiency of trading infrastructure.
• Design technical solutions based on future business needs across a variety of projects and programming languages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience designing and building distributed, scalable software with Java or C++.
• Self-directed approach, initiative, and willingness to demonstrate peer leadership.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss complex technical problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python.
• Experience with distributed or highly concurrent systems.
• Experience with low-latency systems or high-transaction environments.
• Experience in collaborative development environments.
• Experience with relational databases.
