Data Engineer GCP (French Speaker)

Location: Hybrid in Lisbon, Portugal, with office presence twice a week. Candidates must be based in Portugal and have Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do

• Write production-grade Python code using design patterns, testing, and packaging best practices.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses on Google Cloud Platform.
• Design scalable data solutions using ETL/ELT practices, star and snowflake schemas, normalization, and data modeling.
• Orchestrate and version-control pipelines with Cloud Composer, Apache Airflow, Git, and CI/CD.
• Prepare data for machine learning use cases, including feature stores and MLOps-enabled model productionization.
• Apply UAT, QA testing, data validation, test automation, and relevant privacy frameworks.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Professional experience with Python and production data engineering solutions.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Apache Beam, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub.
• Knowledge of Cloud Composer, Airflow, Git, CI/CD, and data modeling.
• Working knowledge of AI prediction models, feature stores, and MLOps principles.
• French fluency at C1 level is required; English is also required.

• Experience with Spark, Databricks, Control-M, GDPR, or CCPA.
