CNC Mechanic 2 (Manufacturing)

Location: Lawrence, Massachusetts, United States

Pay range: $26.11–$44.18 per hour, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Install, repair, inspect, and maintain CNC machinery and other equipment.
• Identify the root causes of unexpected machine breakdowns and repair faulty equipment efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and services, including cleaning, part removal, reinstallation, oiling, and lubrication.
• Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Clean and organize the shop area, inventory, tools, parts, and supplies.
• Collaborate with mechanical maintenance technicians and production workers while reporting to the Machine Shop Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Vocational or community college degree with related coursework, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, visually inspect machines, and lift and carry 50–90 pounds.
• Some positions may require U.S. person status because of ITAR or EAR-controlled goods and technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Express Maintenance.
• Ability to independently determine methods and procedures for new assignments and lead or supervise nonexempt personnel.
