Team Lead, People Services (HR Operations)

Location: Must be based in Hungary and work from the Budapest office at least 3 days per week; the team is located in Budapest and Timișoara.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 10 People Associates.
• Set goals, monitor performance, conduct regular evaluations, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
• Oversee HR inquiries from employees across multiple countries and act as the first escalation point for complex issues.
• Partner with Tier 2 HR and business stakeholders to transition processes into Tier 1, maintain documentation, and ensure country coverage.
• Improve HR processes and systems, drive adoption of manager and employee self-service tools, and support Workday onboarding and data accuracy.
• Collaborate with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate salary payments, while identifying process gaps and implementing improvements.

Requirements

• Based in Hungary and able to work from the Budapest office 3+ days per week.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven people management experience with a focus on team development.
• Experience with employee lifecycle processes and HR service delivery.
• Familiarity with HR metrics and ERP systems, plus strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
