Data Strategist (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, Montreal, or New York City

Annual base salary: $125,000–$175,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and relevant skills; eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Develop data requirements and recommend data solutions for front-office traders and researchers.
• Curate the research data catalog to improve dataset discoverability across the platform.
• Evaluate new datasets and manage their integration and onboarding lifecycle.
• Coordinate with data engineers and the Contract Management team on priorities and delivery progress.
• Build relationships with front-office users and promote adoption of data platform offerings.
• Analyze datasets for business value, completeness, accessibility, interoperability, and appropriate user access.

Requirements

• Knowledge of modern financial markets, financial instruments, research datasets, and data platforms.
• 5+ years of experience working with front-office stakeholders, including traders and researchers.
• Experience performing data analysis with SQL and Python, including pandas.
• Experience with cloud-based tools such as AWS S3 or Snowflake.
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship management skills.
