Solutions Architect

What you will do

• Define standards for solution design, development, quality, and testing.
• Design, document, and communicate enterprise system architectures, interfaces, and interoperability with other systems.
• Translate business, user, and technical needs into architectures, components, system features, and implementation priorities.
• Assess existing systems, identify solution options, estimate software development effort, and track architecture throughout the systems lifecycle.
• Lead development teams and processes while contributing to testing, quality assurance, change management, and technical documentation.
• Select and evaluate technologies, interpret system metrics, and optimize performance, security, and quality.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience, or bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience architecting software systems and experience serving as the key architect for at least 2 software systems.
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
• Master-level certification in software development technology or software solution architecture.
• Expertise in enterprise software architecture, capacity and security planning, UML, systems modelling tools, software development lifecycles, and agile methodologies.
• Technical knowledge of databases, application and web servers, communication middleware, GIS, directory services, Microsoft platform security, business intelligence, systems integration, and integrated development environments.

Nice to have

• Experience assessing large ICT solutions spanning multiple countries.
• Experience with video surveillance or video streaming.
• Experience supporting field operations from an ICT perspective.
• Knowledge of field-operation ICT technologies and experience with cloud storage systems.
• Business-oriented mindset with experience liaising with business stakeholders.
